Laser Cutting Acrylic, Perspex, ABS, Mylar and Other Laser Cut Plastics

We laser cut a lot of acrylics at Etch and Cut, (and we mean a lot of laser cutting)! Acrylic plastic, (or commonly known as the brand perspex), comes in a variety of colours, finishes and thicknesses.

A very durable and cost-effective material for signs, signage and display, custom laser cut parts, model making, furniture and interior design projects.

We can even laser etch acrylic, or even better still laser engrave acrylic laminate, (or sometimes more commonly known as Traffolyte). A perfect for ID labels, tags, electrical switch plates, badges and wayfinding signs.

Clear acrylic, frosted acrylic, tinted acrylic, mirror acrylic, fluorescent acrylic in both matte and gloss finishes pass regularly through our workshop.

Cast or extruded acrylic plastic has a great looking flat surface finish, with excellent optical properties.

We can also laser cut other plastics such as ABS, or Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, which is a very flexible and durable material known for its high impact resistance.

Also, Mylar, or polyester (PET) plastic film, which is great for making stencils. Perfect for interior design projects, signage and street sign guerilla marketing.

Finally High-impact Polystyrene (HIPS) is another plastic that we laser cut. Available in a range of colours, HIPS is commonly used in construction, packaging, model making and prototyping.

Our laser cutter can handle large format sections and cut highly intricate shapes at volume.
