Laser Etched Glass Mirror for Caws Bar, Dundee.

Not many people and businesses know that we can laser etch glass and mirror. so we thought we would share this engraved mirror job with you, custom made for Caws Bar based in Dundee, Scotland.

As part of the new refurbishment of this much loved pub, Etch and Cut were asked to design and engrave this lovely glass mirror section.

Using a reverse engraving technique, our CO2 laser removes the silvered backing on the mirror leaving a see through section that contrasts beautifully with the reflective areas when viewed from the front, (see the images above).

If you placed the mirror against a dark background, the text and artwork would also look dark, (which is what the mirror will look like in situ).

Not only did we set up the CAD artwork for this job, but we also sourced the mirrored glass section from one of our trusted suppliers, (toughened and bevelled with arissed edges).

We love engraving glass and mirror as the results always look fantastic.
