Etched Glass Panels Wetherspoons

We were recently asked by TL Contracts, an Interior design company based in Bollington, Macclesfield, to produce a series of laser etched glass panels for a new Wetherspoons establishment at Birmingham New Street railway station.

The laser engraved glass panels contain a series of old locomotive imagery which were taken from old railway illustrations. We worked with Themed Leisure Contracts to develop the imagery and make it suitable for engraving (no mean feat as some of the images were quite old).

We then reverse etched the toughened glass panels which leaves a white contrasting mark on the rear. Glass really etches well with the laser, and the level of detail is very sharp. There were twelve glass panels in all, measuring 120cm in length. Unfortunately, we have not seen them in situ yet, but I am sure they will be a very engaging addition to the pub.
